Arona Park in Playa de las Americas

If you are looking for the real Tenerife this is not the resort to choose. If you are looking for a fun party atmosphere with lots of young people then this is the one to choose. However nowadays with a new focus Playa de las Americas is also popular with couples and families and there are a lot of upmarket bars and restaurants catering for those wanting something more sophisticated.

The main beach is a nice sandy beach with yellow sand and so nicer looking than the black beaches that are the natural ones on Tenerife. The beach has lots of facilities including a range of watersports. If you like surfing head to Playa de Guincho which is also popular for windsurfing.
